I love seeing them together but Tom, she’s seven. Maybe you should let her walk.
He still held Bella & Conner with his arms when they were over 6, I think it’s ok, they were very good kids now. Just occasionally not always.
I think it’s a bit weird. Katie never carries her anymore.
I don’t care what kho did, I just knew Tom had raised two kids by himself, he is a great father, his kids are very good and lovely, It’s enough.
I’m saying it’s weird to carry a kid around at that age. I’m not saying he’s a bad father. Calm down.
I am very calm, just I don’t think it’s weird, my father held me when I was eight. I’m not angry, I just think the point is very weird.
Once I asked one of my friends who had a 8-year-old boy, she think it’s weird too, why should not hold her kid? even if he is 8.
he does let her walk, but shes nervous around cameras. when theres not a lot of cameras around, she walks next to him, but as soon as she sees they’re being photographed, he picks her up, and she wraps herself around him, just like in the second pic. there was a video on youtube when he was first reunited with her after the divorce, and you could see from her body language that she was clinging to him for dear life, and the mob of press looked pretty scary. then there are pics of them at disneyworld, where she starts off by his side, but as more fans approach, she either hides, or she clings to him until he has to carry her.she might have a nervous disposition, or be uncomfortable in crowds of strangers. in the special features for ghost protocol, he comes in to the recording of the score with her, and she looks scared then, too. she leans into him while he tries to distract her and talk softly to her, and then when he goes to deal with business, shes gone, probably someplace with fewer people around.
i for one am just as nervous in crowds, and hide in my girlfriends shoulder when i have to be in a crowd, but no one is taking our pictures. he isnt babying her at all, not if she has social anxiety. hes doing the best he can for her in the limits of his religious beliefs. i think it would be far worse if he did insist she walk.
also holmes doesnt carry her because nobody gives a shit about her to crowd her that much. plus suri cries a lot in pics of her and her mother on the street, and i bet anything its because suri has spotted the paps and holmes is being unsympathetic to her discomfort.
tl;dr - i dont think anyone should judge tom for carrying his still small enough to be trampled kid
Suri was not afraid of camera or the crowd before, why is she lack of the feeling of safety now? Who did take her out everyday, let her face the strange paps & the crowd when she needs to protect & peaceful? oh! the hero mother!(via iheartdrbill)
